Near the house is a little stream, where I first recorded some water sounds. During a later walk, I discovered the dam where I could get more interesting sounds: the water stream itself, the water falling over the wall, rain pouring down over the microphone et cetera. This fluidity of sound is a metaphor for Smetana's fluid thinking, always composing new music.

Kapitola 3: Voda
Nedaleko domu je malý potůček, kde jsem nahrával zvuky vody. Při dalších procházce jsem objevil hráz, kde jsem uslyšel zajímavější zvuky: samotný proud vody, vodu padající přes zeď hráze, déšť stékající přes mikrofon a jiné. Tato tekutost zvuku je metaforou pro Smetanovo fluidní myšlení, kdy se pořád snažil skládat novou hudbu.
