This chapter starts in the garden of the house. I recorded woodchopping, talking, and footsteps. Birds are present as well. This is the only time that you will hear humans speaking in this soundscape and they are muffled to simulate a kind of distance from the outside world Smetana was experiencing here.

Tato část skladby začíná na zahradě domu. Nahrával jsem řezání dřeva, řeč a kroky. Slyšíme ptáky. Je to jediná část skladby ve které se objevuje lidská řeč, a to tlumeně, abych simuloval Smetanovou odloučení od světa, jak jej běžně slyšíme.
